Umbrella Liability (also known as Excess Liability) gives you additional coverage when a claim exceeds an underlying policy's insurance limits and provides additional protection against catastrophic loss locally and worldwide when underlying policy limits are exceeded.
For instance, if you have $1,000,000 coverage under General Liability and you have a claim settlement for $1,500,000, the umbrella policy would pick up the additional amount. We have the capability of offering strictly excess GL coverage and Umbrella Liability policies over multiple lines such as Auto Liability, and Employer's Liability for a single premium.
